Candidates will respond to questions posed by Black leaders during 2018 Primary Election season

Several organizations have announced candidate forums and are seeking community questions.

The People’s Campaign Community Network and Operation Turnout will sponsor a Mayoral forum for select mayoral candidates Monday, April 30, 6:30 p.m. Farish Theater Downtown Library.

The Interdenominational Pastoral Fellowship of Lexington & Vicinity (IPFLV) will again sponsor a Candidate Forum on Monday, April 16, 11 a.m. at Lexington’s historic Lyric Theatre.

All seven Mayoral candidates will be invited: Ronnie Bastin, Linda Gorton, Skip Horine, Teresa Isaac, Ike Lawrence, Kevin O. Stinnett and William Weymann.

The graduate and alumnae chapters of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta and Zeta Phi Beta Sororities of Lexington will present a combined forum on April 24th from 6:30 – 8:30pm at the Charles Young Center 540 East 3rd Street, Lexington.

Candidates for  U.S. Rep. 6th Congressional District, Urban County Council At-Large, Urban County Council 11th district, and County Circuit Clerk have been invited.
