Free Opportunity Conference connects community to jobs, banking and more

Community Action Council (the Council) and the Urban League of Lexington present Opportunity Conference: A Day to Thrive.

Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 11:00AM-7:00PM at The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Art Center, 300 E 3rd St in Lexington.

This one-stop-shop conference is designed for anyone seeking to improve their economic stability by obtaining new or increased employment and other critical resources.

Attendees will be able to interview with employers, a few of which are prepared to hire on-the-spot. Attendees will also be able to sign up for health insurance and open bank accounts. Eligible families will be able to enroll young children in The Prep Academy.

The Council’s staff are scheduling appointments prior to the event, to offer attendees assistance preparing resumes and selecting business attire.

Attendees will also be eligible to enter a drawing to win $500.

Possible employment opportunities include: LexTran, Baptist Health Lexington, Amazon, Toyota Motor
Manufacturing, and many more.
