Ballet Under the Stars

Nightly at 8 p.m. at Woodland Park
The evening begins at 8 pm with a pre-show production of Beauty and the Beast performed by local youth dancers and will be followed by the main curtain at
9 pm. Lawn chairs and/or blankets should be brought for seating and patrons may pack a picnic dinner or purchase concessions, which are available onsite. Admission is $5 per person.

August 7
East End Farmers Market

Third St. at Midland Avenue (in Community Ventures Pavillion)
Every Saturday 8 a.m. – 12 noon

Back to School Rallies
Various locations 8 a.m. registration
Various community centers, parks, churches. Eligible students will receive free school supplies at 12 noon.

Back to School Blast
Southland Aquatic Center 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pool party with giveaways, door prizes, games and exhibits free with regular paid admission.

10th Annual Family Fun Resource Fair

Shiloh Baptist Church 237 E. 5th Street
10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Free food, information booths to help individuals/families know the resources
available to them in the community. Activities for kids, door prizes and health
